  • A home garage floods

A home garage is built for rain, and it handles rain well. Our floor is built for the tide that comes up a driveway, with industrial drainage and higher ground than most of South Florida. Your car stays dry.

  • Salt water never leaves

Salt is patient. It settles into floor pans, wiring looms and carpet backing, and it works quietly for years. Keep it dry for one week. The car comes home the same car you drove in, and it stays protected.

  • Space runs out early

Book in calm weather and your space is held for the whole season, from the first cone to the all clear. The days when everyone else is calling around for indoor space are the days your car is already here.

Why Full Stop?

Our Doral facility provides secure indoor vehicle storage away from South Florida's most vulnerable coastal flood zones. More importantly, High Water Protection is arranged before the water arrives.

King Tides are predictable well in advance. Tropical systems typically provide days of warning. That gives us time to move your vehicle rather than wait until flooded roads make moving it impossible.

Don't wait for the water.

The activation call

We watch the forecast and notify you

We watch every storm the National Hurricane Center tracks, all season long. The moment the forecast cone reaches Miami-Dade, you hear from us, and the call comes to you. A driver collects your car while the roads are still open, brings it onto our floor, and returns it once the water is gone. We collect anywhere in Miami-Dade, from your home, your office, or your building's garage.

High Water Protection Service

Annual protection reserves your space for the year, and it is yours no matter how many storms come. As-needed protection costs nothing until the day you call. One buys certainty. The other buys flexibility. Choose the one that fits how you want to spend the Friday before a landfall.

Limited spaces available

Guaranteed space

Annual Protection

$1,900/ year, per vehicle

Space held for your car whenever high water threatens, for a year.

  • The only way to guarantee a space
  • Unlimited qualifying activations in the year*
  • No further charge however many storms come
  • Each activation: pickup, up to five days indoors, return delivery
  • Pickup and return included, no transport charge
  • Space reserved in advance, not queued for on the day
  • Climate held between 70 and 75 degrees
  • 24/7 monitoring, steel roll-down doors, fire suppression
  • Covers hurricanes, tropical storms and king tides

During a published king tide period you can activate because you would rather not think about it, with no flooding forecast for your street. That is the point of the annual plan. One fee, a space that is already yours, and nothing to arrange on the Friday before landfall while everybody else is calling round for whatever is left.

First come, first served

As-Needed Storm Service

$100/ day, plus transportation

One event, three days minimum, subject to what is left when you call.

  • Three-day minimum, $300
  • $100 a day of indoor storage after that
  • Pickup and return are not included, about $150 each way estimated
  • Pick up or drop off the car yourself at no charge
  • The same floor, the same climate, the same security
  • No annual commitment
  • Available for a king tide, a tropical storm, a hurricane or any other high water event

Call when the water is coming and we will still collect, protect and return the car. We cannot promise the space is there. The annual program is the only way to guarantee one. Indoor space across the county fills in the days before a landfall, and ours is one floor.

Book one event

*A qualifying activation means Miami-Dade is inside the forecast cone of a tropical storm or stronger, or a published king tide window. Pickup and return delivery is included on every qualifying activation.

If we cannot provide the space your annual plan guarantees, you get a full refund of the amount you paid. Our financial guarantee extends only to that amount. Full Stop Garage is not liable for hurricane or water damage to the vehicle, and storage of the vehicle is governed by the storage agreement rather than by this page.

Spaces are extremely limited, and the reason is the guarantee itself: every annual plan commits a space for the next twelve months against a single floor. The annual program is the only way to guarantee a space. Book a one-time storm service and we will still collect, protect and return the car, but we cannot promise the space is still there when you call.

When to move the car

We schedule a pickup when any part of Miami-Dade County falls inside the forecast cone of uncertainty for a tropical storm or hurricane, or during any published king tide window below. The cone is the trigger, and it arrives days ahead of any evacuation order. Water reaches streets well outside the evacuation zones.

  • A named storm

Any part of Miami-Dade inside the cone activates the whole county, your street included. A hurricane gives about four days of warning, and you hear from us by text and email inside that window.

  • A king tide window

Published months ahead on a calendar, so the date is known before the water. A high tide pushes salt water through the storm drains onto a dry street, and Annual Protection activates inside any window.

King tide calendar

Flooding on schedule

A hurricane gives you four days of warning. A king tide is on a calendar published months ahead. These are the periods when high tides may approach or exceed one or more of the National Weather Service flood thresholds on South Florida’s east coast, forecast by the South Florida Water Management District.

Indoor storage for cars in Miami-Dade

The building is inland of the coastal flood zones, and FEMA maps this address as an area of minimal flood hazard. That is where the car sits. What matters as much is when it gets there. King tides are published months ahead and tropical systems usually give days of warning, which is enough time to move a car rather than find out the roads have closed around it.

  • Bulletproof glazing and concrete at the Full Stop Garage facility

    Former DEA Safehouse

Fifteen thousand square feet chosen because the security was built in rather than added later. Bulletproof glass, steel roll-down doors, fire suppression, and high ground FEMA maps as an area of minimal flood hazard.

  • Climate-controlled storage floor at Full Stop Garage

    Climate-Controlled

Between 70 and 75 degrees, which is the half of a storm nobody plans for: the power goes out, a closed garage reaches a hundred and ten with the rain's humidity, and the car sits in that for a week.

  • Security monitoring at Full Stop Garage

    Color Night Vision

24/7 monitoring with full-color night vision, on a site chosen for the security infrastructure already standing on it. Your car is watched every hour it is here, through the night and through the storm.

FAQ About Hurricane Storage

Nothing is refunded and nothing needs to be. On Annual Protection the activation costs you nothing extra, so a cone that moves is the cheapest outcome of the week. On As-Needed Storm Service the three-day minimum is charged once the car is on the floor, whether or not the storm arrives.

Every qualifying event in your year, as many times as they happen. Any part of Miami-Dade County inside the forecast cone of a tropical storm or hurricane, or any published king tide window. Each activation covers pickup, up to five days indoors and return delivery. If you need longer than five days we extend at the day rate.

Until we close ahead of the weather, which is a judgement made per storm and is always earlier than the last safe hour to drive. Call while the forecast is still a cone. The one thing we cannot do is collect a car after the roads have gone.

It is included on Annual Protection. On As-Needed Storm Service we quote about $150 each way and confirm the figure with you before a driver is dispatched. Pick up or drop off the car yourself at no charge.

Once at Full Stop Garage your car is protected by our Garage Keeper insurance policy.

Yes, once the roads are open and we are open. We will not move a car out into a closed road or a live warning, and the honest answer is that a storm day is the one day a same-hour return cannot be promised.

Then this is the wrong product and monthly storage is cheaper. Five days turns into a stay and the day rate stops making sense somewhere in the second week. Say so and we will quote the monthly tenancy instead.

Yes, within the space there is. Annual Protection is per vehicle, so two cars is two plans. On As-Needed Storm Service each car carries its own three-day minimum. Spots are limited and this is one floor, so tell us how many and we will tell you honestly whether there is room for all of them that week.
